Transmission Systems

Aberdare Engineering Ltd has rendered services in the field of electric power transmission and substation design to clients (utilities and governments) in the East African Region.

The transmission projects have covered interconnection lines in connections with studies on national and regional grid development as well as projects for rehabilitation and extensions of transmission systems – overhead lines and underground cable systems and substations.

Aberdare Engineering Ltd has long experience from participating as consultant in all phases of transmission projects, from pre-feasibility studies including load demand/load analysis, transmission line construction, testing and commissioning.  So far, we have handled (approved designs, consulted and supervised systems of 400kV, 220kV and 132kV.  We have also supervised the installation of OPGW systems on transmission lines.
